We launched Minimarket as a womens wear label in 2006, when fashion in Sweden was quite dark and serious. Our esthetics made way for color, prints and playful concepts. We quickly got a lot of attention through our much talked about fashion shows in Stockholm and Copenhagen. Minimarket has won several awards, like “Designer of the year”, from Elle magazine.
Our name alludes to cornershops, who are selling a little bit of everything edible, readable and smokable. Our take on Minimarket also offer a wide range, but within our field. This was the case also back in the days; we started out as a small shop in Sofo, Stockholm, selling unique pieces from Swedish and Japanese designers, combined with small gifts and home accessories.
The small shop where we started out is replaced by large department stores and partners with wide networks of shops. Together we showcase a broad portfolio, in a growing number of markets. We design and sell kids wear together with Åhlens in Sweden, you can buy Minimarket entry doors at your local retailer for building products, Minimarket porcelain in Rörstrand shops, and our own produced womens wear, shoes and hats in selected stores.
