When we held our first shows, back in 2006, we borrowed shoes from Swedish Rizzo. Lovely shoes, but we wanted to have our own signature on the full looks. Our first try outs were made in marzipan, which we moulded and mounted on regular high heels and claid with velvet for the AW07 show. These shapes lasted just about one show, but the silhouette we created laid the foundation for our very first own series of shoes - our wedges.
In 2017, Åhlens wanted to drive attention to their shoe section, both in the city department stores, and online. With Minimarket’s history of making unique but wearable shoes, we were given the opportunity to create a range of shoes exclusive for, and together with, the Åhlens team.
Minimarket and Åhlens were united in a 2 season project. We showcased some updated Minimarket classics, like Shoe Cut Out, and some completely new styles, like Sneaker Sky (rather a boot actually).
